Safety measures to maintain password security
If your password is one of the following types that people may be able to guess, we advice you to change it immediately.
- Number related to a birthday
- Driver's license number
- Number taken from your address
- Health insurance card number
- Telephone number
- Simple number combinations
- Automobile license plate number
- Passport number
Changing your User ID and passwords is simple.
- for your PIN (Card PIN) and T-PIN (Telephone PIN), just call CitiPhone Banking.
- for User ID and Password for Citibank Online, sign on to Citibank Online, select the "Customer Service" menu, and click "Change ID" or "Change Password" under the "Register, Update your information, and all other".
How to minimize your risk
- Be sure never to carry or keep a memo with your passwords and the card itself together.
- Change your user ID and passwords frequently, and especially change it immediately after using your Banking Card overseas.
- Change initial passwords without delay.
- Do not use your Citibank passwords and Citibank Online user ID for any other purpose (such as Internet access, credit card, sports club locker combinations, mobile phone codes, etc.). We also recommend using different number combinations for your PIN and T-PIN (Telephone-PIN).
- Do not save your passwords or IDs on files or the Internet browser of your PC.
