You can use your Banking Card approximately at 1 million CDs/ATMs in 170 countries to withdraw funds from your Yen Savings Account in the local currency of the country you are in. Also, you can make withdrawals and check your account balance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year* at CDs/ATMs operated by Citibank or members of our affiliated network.

Currency exchange rates
The conversion mechanism from Yen that applies when withdrawing US Dollars overseas, is the US Dollar TTS rate posted at Citibank Japan Ltd. that day +3%(TTSx1.03).
Other currencies are first converted to US Dollars at a rate set by the affiliated bank and then converted from US Dollars to Yen at the above Citibank rate. Please note that this figure is subjected to change without prior notice.

This service charge is required for handling of US Dollar cash and is charged in addition to other service charges. The service charge is waived, however, when customers use US Dollars to make US Dollar time deposits with a term of six months or longer, purchase mutual funds handled by Citibank (except Legg Mason Funds Money) or purchase intermediate securities products.
Opening of a securities transaction account and purchasing of intermediate securities products on the same date is not permitted. We ask that customers open a securities transaction account in advance.

Citibank corporate accountholders who conduct an electronic transfer or order a remittance check in the same currency as the appropriated funds are required to pay a ¥2,500 lifting fee in addition to the normal service charge.
Once funds have been refunded, customers must pay an additional remittance fee to remit them again.
Fee is discounted to ¥2,500 for each overseas remittance made via CitiPhone Banking (¥500 handling fee + ¥2,000 electronic transfer fee) for accounts with the Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance in the previous month of 1 million Yen or more. (This discount is not applicable, however, to customers with Citibank corporate accounts or for remittance made for business purpose.)
Fee is discounted to ¥2,000 for each overseas remittance made via Citibank Online (¥0 handling fee + ¥2,000 electronic transfer fee) for accounts with the Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance in the previous month of 1 million Yen or more.
For overseas remittances through Citibank Online when the debited account is a foreign currency savings account, the bank charges are converted from JPY into the foreign currency at the TTB rate and debited from the foreign currency savings account.
The overseas remittance service is not available to corporate or non-resident accountholders via Citibank Online. (Remittance of funds for business purposes by individual customers is not permitted.) In addition, customers who wish to make use of these services with Citibank Online must register the recipients in advance.
The intermediary bank that processes the transaction may charge a separate fee for overseas remittances.
Regardless of the Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance, customers who have opened a new account, may enjoy the same discount as those with the Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance in the previous month of 1 million Yen or more, when using CitiPhone Banking or Citibank Online, These customers are eligible from the month in which the account was opened and the two subsequent months.
The CitiPhone Banking and Citibank Online services are available for use only by Citibank accountholders.

When the collection involves foreign checks, the date of deposit is set after a retention period of 15 or 22 business days. This retention period is subject to change, however, depending on communication or other conditions.
In the case of individual collection, the date of deposit is determined after collection is confirmed.
Charges include fees for collection and communications by Citibank.
Customers are responsible for payment of additional charges assessed by the paying bank.
This charge is also incurred for payments into time deposits.
Foreign currency checks may be handled as checks for individual collection at Citibank’s discretion.

At Citibank, customers are charged a monthly account maintenance fee of 2,100 Yen (tax included), which is deducted from their account on the first banking day of the following month. However, this fee is waived when any of the below criteria is met:
the customer is paying a housing loan (including Mortgage Power),

the average monthly loan balance for Advance Money or card loans in the previous month is 4 Yen or more,

the customer is a member of the Citi Platinum Card or Citi Gold Card issued by Citi Card Japan Inc.
