Dear customers,
Thank you for banking with Citibank.
In order to improve the security of our online banking service, we have introduced Extended Validation SSL Certificates (EV SSL Certificates).
Extended Validation SSL Certificates give high-security Web browsers information such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 to visually identify a Web site's organizational identity.

About Extended Validation SSL Certificates
Extended Validation SSL Certificates were created to give high-security Web browsers information to clearly identify a Web site's organizational identity. As one of the anti-phishing countermeasures, many Japanese financial institutions including banks have implemented this features to their web sites.
