I would like to express my personal condolences to the people impacted by the disaster. My thoughts go out to all of the people in the region as well as my wishes for a swift recovery.

The senior management of Citibank Japan and I have remained in Tokyo throughout the crisis and we are committed to ensuring that Citibank Japan remains fully operational so we can meet the full range of needs of our most important clients here in Japan.
