Transfers to Registered Payees - Overseas Remittances

During your session, please do not use Browser Back Button and use "Back" or "Cancel" button inside Citibank Online.

On the "Transfers to Registered Payees" menu, you can send funds to payees you have registered in advance. Below are instructions for remitting funds overseas.


Select payee

Select the beneficiary (recipient) from the drop-down menu.

* The beneficiary (recipient) you select must be a payee that you have registered in advance using the prescribed registration form.
* The beneficiaries (recipients) are displayed in alphanumeric characters.

Select debit account

Select the account you wish to use to fund the remittance from among the accounts listed in the drop-down menu.

Choose a debit account from among your deposit accounts. It may be any of the following types of accounts.

  • [Yen Savings Account]
  • [e-Savings Account]
  • [MultiMoney Savings Account]
  • [MultiMoney Foreign Currency Savings Account] (Registered currencies)
* You are not allowed to use a US Dollar Savings Account (the account linked to your Citibank Gaika Cash Card).
* Only the accounts you hold will appear as options.
* The name on your account is the name that is viewed by the payee.
* You cannot change the remitter name (Remittance on behalf of a third party (Individual and/or Corporate) is not accepted).

Select currency for your remittance

Select the currency that you wish to remit

Enter amount

Enter the amount you wish to send.

* Make sure to enter the amount in single-byte characters.
* Do not include commas, or any currency symbols ( for example $) or other marks.
* You may remit funds to overseas once per day (00:00 to 24:00 the following day).Check the content of the transaction carefully before you execute it.
* You may send between 10,000 yen and 3 million yen (or the equivalent in the payee currency) per transaction.

Select reason for your remittance

Choose the reason you are making the remittance from the list.

Customers with a corporate account/non-resident account are not eligible to make overseas remittances using Citibank Online. Individual customers are also not allowed to remit business funds.

Click "Next".

Confirm details

The information you entered in Steps 1 - 5 appears.

Always check to make sure the payee name and transfer amount are correct.
The total debit is the sum of the amount remitted to the payee including service charges.

To view the number of days it will take to complete the transaction, click "Days Required to Complete Transaction".

Confirm the information, and if there are no errors, click "Submit".

* Please note that once you execute the transaction, it cannot be cancelled.
* Overseas remittance transactions are limited to one per day. If you execute a remittance transaction that has an error, it will still count towards the daily limit, so please carefully check the information you've entered before clicking "Submit".
* To change the information you've entered, click "Back".

Complete remittance

The details of your remittance are shown on the screen.

To print the information, click "Print" on the confirmation screen.
