Changing Your OTP Email Address

During your session, please do not use Browser Back Button and use "Back" or "Cancel" button inside Citibank Online.

You will need a One Time Password (OTP) to use our services which require a higher level of security to protect your personal information. Follow the instructions below to change your email address for receiving OTPs (your OTP email address).


Requesting One Time Password

Select "Fund Transfers" from the menu on the left and then click "Change OTP Email Address".

Click "Proceed” to Request One Time Password.

To change your OTP email address, you need to obtain an OTP (which is valid for only one transaction in one hour) and have it verified.
When you click "Proceed” to request One Time Password, a One Time Password will be sent to your registered email address.

*If your OTP email address has already changed, for example if you have lost your mobile phone or changed your mobile phone company, you will need to re-register for the One Time Password Service.

Enter your One Time Password

Enter the OTP that was sent to your registered email address.

Confirm the One Time Password you entered, then click "Next".

Enter your new email address

Type in your new email address.

You may only use single-byte letters and numbers as below.

a to z, 0 to 9, the following symbols: . @ _ -

Email addresses provided for the OTP service must not contain the following:

Continuous dots "..." or a dot "." immediately before the @ mark.

Any of the following symbols: ! '' # $ % & ' ( ) * + , / : ; < = > ? [ \ ] ^ ` { | } ~

*For security, please register the email address you use on your mobile phone.
*If your email address contains any of the prohibited characters, please change it to an acceptable address before you register it as your OTP email address.
*If you use a spam filter, email messages from Citibank may be blocked. Before you register for the OTP service, change the settings of your spam filter to register the "citi.com" domain so that you can receive email messages from Citibank.
* If you have changed your mobile phone company, lost your mobile phone, or changed your email address before completing the procedure for changing your OTP email address, you will need to re-register for the One Time Password Service. To do this, click "Register for One Time Password Service".
* If you would like to use the iPhone's e-mail address provided by SoftBank as your mobile e-mail address, please register your iPhone's MMS e-mail address (Domain name:softbank.ne.jp). Please note that you must apply to SoftBank in advance if you are planning to use your MMS e-mail address. Please understand that iPhone's E-mail(i)" address (Domain name:i.softbank.jp) is treated as a non-mobile address.

Re-enter your email address for confirmation.

*If you have inadvertently changed your email address, you will need to re-register for the One Time Password Service.

Click "Register".

Change completed

Check that your new OTP email address appears correctly on the screen.

Now you can continue to another operation.

To transfer funds right away, click "Make a Fund Transfer".
