If you have forgotten your password, you may sign on to Citibank Online by obtaining another password. Below are the instructions for registering a new password, and for how to use the Virtual Pad.
Enter User ID/ Yen Savings Account Number/ Telephone Personal ID Number / Birth Date
Enter your user ID.
Enter the user ID that you use for signing on to Citibank Online.
Enter your Yen Savings account number.
Your Yen Savings account number is the last 7 digits of the number inscribed on your Banking Card.
Enter your Telephone Personal ID Number (T-PIN).
Your Telephone Personal ID Number (T-PIN) may be entered by using the Virtual Pad as well as your keyboard. Unlike entering your T-PIN using the computer keyboard, using the Virtual Pad ensures internet security because it does not save a record of information you enter into your computer.
Enter your date of birth.
When entering your birth date, the month and day should both be entered as 2 digits. The year should be 4 digits in the western calendar.
Your birth date may be entered using the Virtual Pad as well as your keyboard. Using the Virtual Pad ensures internet security because it does not save a record of information you enter into your computer.
Ensure that the information you entered is correct, then click “Next.”

Enter New Password
Enter the new password that you would like to register.
- Your password must be a combination of 6 to 20 one-byte letters and numbers .
- Please note that no marks or signs may be used. Please also note that neither 3 or more letters in alphabetical order (e.g., abcdefg) nor 3 or more numbers in numerical order (e.g., 12345) may be used. The same letter or number may not be repeated 3 or more times in succession (e.g., aaa or 111).
- Your password must be different from your user ID.
- Please note that our computer system does not distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters.
- The new password must be different from the most recent password you have registered for other services on Citibank Online.
Other than using your own keyboard, passwords may also be entered using our Virtual Pad. Unlike entering passwords using a keyboard, the Virtual Pad ensures internet security because it does not save a record of information you enter into your computer.
Ensure that the details you entered are correct, then click “Re-register password.”

How To Use the Virtual Pad
- You may enter your password by clicking on the letters and/or numbers on the Virtual Pad. The Virtual Pad is designed in such a way that there are no changes on the screen when you enter information, so people around you will not be able to see what you enter.
- Letters and numbers you enter will be denoted by asterisks (*) in the field box.
- Click “Enter” when finished entering your password.
- Click “Back” if you would like to delete the information you entered.
- There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters on the Virtual Pad. Choose letters regardless of case.
