Applying and Suspending e-Statement Service

During your session, please do not use Browser Back Button and use "Back" or "Cancel" button inside Citibank Online.

The e-Statement service enables you to receive your bank statements and other similar bank statements in the PDF file format via the email address you specify for e-Statement delivery.

Below are instructions for initiating, suspending, and updating enrollment in the e-Statement service.


Review account opening status in relation to e-Statement service

Customers with Yen Savings Accounts

Customers with a Yen Savings Account must register an email address with Citibank for receipt of e-Statements when first applying for the e-Statement service. If you registered an email address with Citibank when you first opened your account, proceed to Step 2: Apply for e-Statement service, to verify-and if necessary change-the email address you provided. Then, apply for the e-Statement service. Please note that mobile phone email addresses may not be used with the e-Statement service.

Customers with only e-Savings Account

You are already enrolled in the e-Statement service if you have a Yen Savings e-Savings Account.
Access the "e-Statement Service Settings" menu to suspend your e-Statement service or to update your email address.

Customers Who Opened a Yen Savings e-Savings Account Via Citibank Online in Addition to a Previously Opened Yen Savings Account

If you maintain a Yen Savings Account and then later open an e-Savings Account via Citibank Online, you will be automatically enrolled in the e-Statement service.
However, you may revert to receiving the printed version of your consolidated bank statements by postal mail without incurring service charges.
If you wish to do so, proceed to Step 3: Suspend e-Statement service.

A service to apply for an e-Savings Account via Citibank Online has been terminated as of 26th May 2011.

Apply for e-Statement service

Select "Customer Service" from the menu on the left. Then select "Manage e-Statements".

Select your language preference.

You can choose to receive e-Statements in either Japanese or English.

Check the "Receive e-Statements" check box.

Enter your primary email address in the text box labeled, "Primary Email Address". (required)

Precautions Regarding the Registration of Primary and Alternate Email Addresses

We will send your e-Statements in PDF format to the primary email address you have provided.
If you have already registered an email address with us, that address will be displayed in the email address text box.
To use Citibank's e-Statement service you must provide Citibank with a primary email address.

*You may not register an email address of a mobile telephone email account that is incompatible with the PDF file format.

Enter the same email address again in the "Re-type Address" text box. (required)

If you wish, you may enter a secondary email address the text box labeled, "Secondary Email Address". (Optional)

Citibank uses your secondary email address to notify you when e-Statements have been sent to your primary email address.
If you have already registered an email address with us, that address will be displayed in the email address text box.
You are not required to register an secondary email address with us.

*The secondary email address that you provide must be different from the primary email address you have indicated.

You may only use single-byte letters and numbers as below.

a to z, 0 to 9, the following symbols: . @ _ -

Email addresses provided for the OTP service must not contain the following:

Continuous dots "..." or a dot "." immediately before the @ mark.

Any of the following symbols: ! '' # $ % & ' ( ) * + , / : ; < = > ? [ \ ] ^ ` { | } ~

*If you use a spam filter, email messages from Citibank may be blocked. Before you register for the e-Statement service, change the settings of your spam filter to register the "citi.com" domain so that you can receive email messages from Citibank.

Enter the same email address again in the "Re-type Address" text box. (Optional)

Read the document, "Terms and Condition for Electronic Delivery of Documents relating to Liability Products". If you accept the terms and conditions outlined in the document, place a check in the corresponding check box.

Click "Apply".

After clicking "Apply", the details you have provided will be displayed on screen. Citibank will then send you an email containing the details you have provided. Please check that those details are correct.

*If you do not receive the confirmation email from Citibank, please contact a CitiPhone Banking customer service representative (number below).

CitiPhone Banking
Toll Free: 0120-110-330 (24 hours/day, 365 days/year)

Before calling CitiPhone Banking, have your account number, Telephone PIN (T-PIN), and email address that you registered for e-Statement service ready. You can reach CitiPhone Banking toll-free by dialing 0120-110-330 (24 hours/day, 365 days/year). After dialing the CitiPhone Banking number press "*2" for English guidance, or press "*1" for Japanese guidance. Then dial "0" to connect with a CitiPhone Banking customer representative.

Now you can continue to another operation.

To print the e-Statement registration details, click "Print" to print the details that you provided to register for the e-Statement service.

Note
Paper Statemement cannot be re-issued by e-Statement. Only re-issue by paper is available for Paper Statement.

Suspend e-Statement service

If you choose to discontinue your e-Statement service, you will receive your consolidated bank statements in printed form via postal mail.

Select "Update User Registration" from the menu on the left. Then select "Manage e-Statements".

After selecting "Manage e-Statements", the "Initiate/Update/Suspend e-Statement Service" screen will be displayed.

Uncheck the "Receive e-Statements" check box.

Read the document, " Terms and Condition for Electronic Delivery of Documents relating to Liability Products ". If you accept the terms and conditions outlined in the document, place a check in the corresponding check box.

Click "Apply".

After clicking "Apply", the details you have provided will be displayed on screen.

Now you can continue to another operation.

To print the e-Statement registration details, click "Print" to print the details that you provided to register for the e-Statement service.

Update registration details

Select "Update User Registration" from the menu on the left. Then select "Manage e-Statements".

After selecting "Manage e-Statements", the "Initiate/Update/Suspend e-Statement Service" screen will be displayed.

Select your language preference.

You can choose to receive e-Statements in either Japanese or English.

Make sure that the check box labeled, "Receive e-Statements" is selected.

*Please note that if the "Apply" check box does not contain a check mark, your e-Statement service will be suspended.

Confirm the email address in the text box labeled, "e-Statement Primary Email Address" and change the address if necessary.

Delete the email address that is displayed in the text box, then enter the new address.

*You may update your primary and/or your alternate email address.
*Your email address must be no longer than 40 characters, including the @ mark.

Enter the same email address again in the "Re-type Address" text box.

Confirm the email address in the text box labeled, "Secondary Email Address" and change it if necessary.

Delete the email address that is displayed in the text box, then enter the new address.

*The alternate email address that you provide must be different from the primary email address you have indicated.
*You may update your primary and/or your alternate email address.
*Your email address must be no longer than 40 characters, including the @ mark.
Email addresses provided for the e-Statement service must not contain the following:
Continuous dots "..." or a dot "." immediately before the @ mark.
Any of the following symbols: ! , $ & { } = # % * ? ^ + | ''

Enter the same email address again in the "Re-type Address" text box.

Read the document, "Terms and Condition for Electronic Delivery of Documents relating to Liability Products". If you accept the terms and conditions outlined in the document, place a check in the corresponding check box.

Click "Apply".

After clicking "Apply", your updated e-Statement registration details will be displayed.

Now you can continue to another operation.

To print the e-Statement registration details, click "Print" to print the details that you provided to register for the e-Statement service.
