You can transfer your funds from banking institutions across Japan to Japan Post Bank Accounts
important reminder regarding fund transfer to Japan Post Bank Accounts
- Tranfer your funds is only available to regular accounts, regularsaving accounts, and regular transfer deposit of Japan Post Bank
- To make fund transfer please convert “Code” to “Branch number” and “Number” to “Account number”
1 Ordinary deposit and New Ordinary deposit (Example)
- Branch number is composed of 3 digits with the 2nd and 3rd figures of Code followed by “8”.
- Branch name is the Chinese numeral of Branch number.
- Account number is composed by omitting the last digit of Number
example: case of[Code:12340]and [Number:12345671]
Rmove the 2nd and 3rd figures of Code, “2” and “3”, then add “8” in the end.
Convert the Branch Number “238” to the Chinese numeral of Branch number.
Omitting the last digit of Number “1”.
2 Transfer Savings account (Example)
- Branch number is composed of 3 digits with the 2nd and 3rd figures of Code followed by “9”.
- Branch name is the Chinese numeral of Branch number.
- Account number is composed by adding “0” to the beginning of Number.
example: case of[Code:01230]and [Number:123456]
Rmove the 2nd and 3rd figures of Code, “1” and “2”, then add “9” in the end.
Convert the Branch Number “238” to the Chinese numeral of Branch number.
add the number “0” in the beginning of Number “123456”.
