User Registration

Those who use Citibank Online for the first time are required to compose and register user IDs and passwords. Below are the instructions for user registration and for using the Virtual Pad.

Please click "First time using Citibank Online?".

STEP1: Enter Yen Savings Account Number/ Telephone Personal ID Number (T-PIN)/ Birth Date

Enter your Yen Savings account number.

Your Yen Savings account number is the last 7 digits of the 16 digits number inscribed on your Banking Card.

Enter your telephone personal ID number (T-PIN ).

Your telephone personal ID number (T-PIN) may be entered by using the Virtual Pad as well as your keyboard. Unlike entering your T-PIN using the computer keyboard, using the Virtual Pad ensures internet security because it does not save a record of information you enter into your computer.

Enter your date of birth.

When entering your birth date, the month and day should both be entered as 2 digits. The year should be 4 digits in the western calendar.

Your birth date may be entered using the Virtual Pad as well as your keyboard. Using the Virtual Pad ensures internet security because it does not save a record of information you enter into your computer.

Ensure that the information you entered is correct, then click "Next".

STEP2: Agree to Terms and Conditions

Ensure that you understand and agree to our Terms and Conditions , then click "Agree".

Please note that if you do not agree to our Terms and Conditions, you may not use our Citibank Online service.

STEP3: Enter User ID/ Password/ E-mail Address

Enter your user ID.

• Compose a combination of 6 to 50 one-byte letters and numbers as your user ID, then register this combination. Your user ID must be composed of both letters and numbers.
• In addition to all one-byte letters and numbers, “at mark” (@), period (.) and underscore (_) may be used. Please also note that neither 3 or more letters in alphabetical order (e.g., abcdefg) nor 3 or more numbers in numerical order (e.g., 12345) may be used. The same letter or number may not be repeated 3 or more times in succession (e.g., aaa or 111).
• Your user ID must be different from your password.
• If our system indicates that the user ID you requested is already in use, you will be instructed to compose and register a different user ID.
• Please note that our computer system does not distinguish between uppercase and lower case letters.
• Please note that your Account Number, Telephone Personal ID Number (T-PIN), or Birth Date cannot be used.

Enter your password.

• Your password must be a combination of 6 to 20 one-byte letters and numbers .
• Please note that no marks or signs may be used. Please also note that neither 3 or more letters in alphabetical order (e.g., abcdefg) nor 3 or more numbers in numerical order (e.g., 12345) may be used. The same letter or number may not be repeated 3 or more times in succession (e.g., aaa or 111).
• Your password must be different from your user ID.
• Please note that our computer system does not distinguish between uppercase and lowercase letters.
• Please note that your Account Number, Telephone Personal ID Number (T-PIN), or Birth Date cannot be used.

Other than using your own keyboard, passwords may also be entered using our Virtual Pad. Unlike entering passwords using a keyboard, the Virtual Pad ensures internet security because it does not save a record of information you enter into your computer.

Enter your e-mail address.

The E-mail address has already been shown can be changed at "Register or Update E-mail Address" from "Customer Service" menu after Sign On.

How to Use Virtual Pad

• You may enter your password by clicking on the letters and/or numbers on the Virtual Pad. The Virtual Pad is designed in such a way that there are no changes on the screen when you enter information, so people around you will not be able to see what you enter.
• Letters and numbers you enter will be denoted by asterisks (*) in the field box.
• Click "Enter" when finished entering your password.
• Click "Clear" if you would like to delete the information you entered.
• There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters on the Virtual Pad. Choose letters regardless of case.
