About the Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance
Your Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance is calculated as shown below.
Your Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance is the standard used to determine eligibility for a waiver of the account maintenance fee or for discount fee services.
It is calculated by combining the daily balance of deposits, mutual funds, insurance products, bonds/notes (intermediary), and 25% of the total loan balance for loan products at Citibank (including housing loan, etc.) from the first to the last day of the month, then dividing this total by the number of days in the month.
However, some products incorporate the end of month balance, such as certain insurance products.
The detailed formula is shown below. (Your Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance is included in your Consolidated Bank Statement.)
||If the end of the month is either a holiday or a weekend, these days will not be included in the number of days in the month.
||The balance information for insurance products and bonds/notes (intermediary) is provided by the applicable insurance company or securities company based on contract and investment status. As a result, it may take several days before this information is reflected in the Total Average Monthly Relationship Balance. Please be aware Citibank is not able to revise the balance amount after confirmation.
||Please note that this is not the same as the balance on the last day of the month.
||In principle, transactions received after business hours (16:50 JST), on weekends or on bank holidays will be processed on the next business day.
- The balance of mutual funds (yen-denominated or foreign currency-denominated) is calculated using the net asset value on the final business day of the previous month multiplied by the number of units owned on the applicable day.
- There is a delay of several days from the time of order placement to the contract of mutual funds. For mutual funds that are not yet contracted, the purchase amount is used as the daily balance. Note that service fees and consumption tax are deducted from the purchase amount.
- The method of calculation may differ depending on the case in question. For details, inquire at a Citibank branch or call CitiPhone Banking.
