Facility for Smooth Financing for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, etc.

The Act concerning Temporary Measures to Facilitate Financing for Small and Medium–Sized Enterprises, etc. ("the Law") was enforced on December 4, 2009 as temporary registration. We, Citibank Japan Ltd. think it is important to understand the purpose of the establishment of the Law that is to provide for necessary measures for facilitating financing for SMEs and housing loan borrower, and to take necessary actions appropriately in consideration of the current specifically tough environments of economy, finance and employment. Under this circumstance, we will announce a policy for handling a request for changing contractual conditions to reduce repayment burden, etc. ("REQUEST"), etc., or a consultation for such a REQUEST so that we earnestly handle such a request etc., from a customer who is a small and medium-sized enterprises or a housing loan borrower.
