My name is Peter B. Eliot, and on January 10th, 2012, I assumed the role of Representative Director, President and CEO of Citibank Japan Ltd. As you know, Citibank Japan received an administrative action from the Financial Services Agency on December 16, 2011. I would like to express our sincere apologies to you and to commit to you that Citibank Japan will implement all necessary measures to prevent future occurrence of the problems identified and to improve our business to meet the expectations and standards required to operate in Japan.
