  3. Your new card will be issued within 10 days.
    *If you are overseas and would like to have an Emergency Card issued, please ask our Customer Service Representative (an Emergency Card may not be issued depending on your location or your card usage). Your new card will be issued only after you return the Emergency Card to us.
    *Please note that you shall be liable for fraudulent usage of the card if your signature was not on the back of the card.
    *Please be careful to protect your card and your PIN. You are liable for all damages caused by transactions with input of PIN.




If you forget

  1. PIN
    It allows you to obtain cash and loan advances at a CD or ATM, and to make International credit card calls. For security purpose, our system randomly selects a 4-digit number as your PIN and sends it to you separately from your credit card.
    *Please be careful to protect your card and your PIN. You are liable for all damages caused by transactions with input of PIN.
    *Your PIN can be changed through our Automated Voice Response system by calling 0120-003-081 from a touch-tone telephone between 9:00am and 10:00pm every day.
    *For security purposes, please do not use your date of birth, your home / office telephone numbers, or numbers such as 0000, 9999, etc. as your PIN.
    *When you decide to change your PIN, your date of birth will be asked for identification. Please enter your date of birth. (ex.April1st -> '0401')
    *Please be careful to protect your card and your PIN. You are liable for all damages caused by transactions with input of PIN.
    *Please change your PIN regularly for safety.

  2. Telephone PIN (T-PIN)
    Used for Balance Inquiry, Change Request, Document Request over the Internet Service and the Automated Voice Response System. This T-PIN cannot be used for cash and loan advances and international credit card calls (except operator calls). For security purpose, our system randomly selects a 4-digit number as your PIN and sends it to you separately from your credit card.
    *Your T-PIN can be changed through our Automated Voice Response system by calling 0120-003-081 from a touch-tone telephone between 9:00am and 10:00pm every day.
    If you are using a rotary/pulse phone, please switch to touch tone or use a touch tone phone.
    *Please change your T-PIN regularly for safety.

  3. Personal Computer Personal Identification Code (PC-PIC)
    PC-PIC is a password which must be entered to sign on to "Citi Cards Online". Please set your PC-PIC when you first sign on. You will be able to change it anytime under the "Change Request" menu of "Citi Cards Online".

*For security purposes, our Customer Service Representatives do not have an access to your PIN, T-PIN, and PC-PIC.
If you forget your PIN or T-PIN, please call Customer Service. We will send you the PIN by mail to your registered address. If you forget your PC-PIC, please call Customer Service. We will reset your PC-PIC.



*Citi Card is the property of Citi Cards Japan, Inc. Members shall use and keep the card exercising reasonable due care.
*Please do not place your card close to electrical appliances for the magnetic tape on your credit card may be damaged.
*Please notify our customer service immediately if your card is lost or stolen.
*For security purpose, please do not use your date of birth, your home / office telephone numbers, or numbers such as 0000, 9999, etc. as your PIN.
*Please check the transaction amount before signing a sales slip, and always keep the receipt.
*Please verify the transactions on your monthly billing statement with your receipts.
*Please report to Customer Service if you find a questionable transaction on your monthly billing statement.




Please check if all the information on your card is correct, and sign the back of your card.
*Please note that you shall be liable for fraudulent usage of the card if your signature was not on the back of the card.


A signature is required on the back of your card.
The card will not be accepted if your signature is not on the back of your card.
The card can only be used by the Member whose name is embossed on the card.




Your supplemental members can also enjoy the privileges of Citi Card. Any supplemental member including your spouse, children over 18 years old, parents or siblings may apply. Cash advances are also available for supplemental members. Please call Customer Service for more details. You can request a Supplemental Card Application through Document Dispatch menu of "Citi Cards Online".




Your Credit Line is indicated on your card carrier and your monthly billing statements. Your Credit Line includes the portion that is available to you for cash advances. It also includes the Credit Line for your Supplemental members. Your unpaid balance should not exceed your Credit Line.
*Please call our Customer Service if you would like to raise your Credit Line.
*It is only credit line for monthly clear payment, not revolving payment, that may be increased.
Ex.) In case your credit lines for monthly clear payment and revolving payment are 500,000 yen each: If you apply for a three-month temporary credit line increase to 900,000 yen, your credit line for monthly clear payment can be increased up to 900,000 yen, while the credit line for revolving payment will be unchanged as 500,000 yen.
*All shopping purchases under "All-Revolving" plan, all shopping purchases made outside Japan under "Selected Revolving (Type A)" plan, and all shopping purchases made in Japan by revolving, two-installment, installment, and bonus payment plans under "Selected Revolving (Type A)" plan or "Selected Revolving (Type B)" plan must be within your credit line for revolving.
*All applications for this temporary credit line increase are screened following CCJ underwriting criteria.




Citi Card payment is settled as follows.
  1. The billing cycle closes on the 15th of each month.

  2. Monthly billing statement is sent out approximately a week after the above closing date.

  3. Payment will be debited from your designated account on the 10th of the following month. (Some banks debit on the 8th. If the 10th is a bank holiday, it is debited on the next business day.)

    *Automatic Debiting Date is indicated on your monthly billing statements.
    *Payment can be debited by "MitsuiSumitomo Card", or "Quoq"
    *Your card is blocked if the direct debit authorization fails for some reason.
    *The Transaction Date on your billing statement may differ from the actual Transaction Date depending on the merchant.
    *Identification may be required depending on the goods or the amount of your purchase.




As all purchases made overseas are processed using VISA/MasterCard's centralized multi-currency system, the exchange rate applied is not necessarily the rate on the date you made the purchase on. The rate includes commission fees.





There have been recent reports of mass e-mails falsely claiming to be from financial institutions and merchants. These e-mails attempt to illegally obtain Card numbers and other personal information by linking to fictitious sites that mimic Web Sites of Financial Institutions, such as Citibank.
Citibank has no relationship or responsibility for these websites or fake e-mails.

Please be aware of these attempts to obtain your personal information.
Please do not enter your personal information, such as Card numbers, Expiration Date, Personal ID Code (PIN), Telephone PIN (T-PIN), PC Personal ID Code (PC-PIC), Address, and Telephone Number at any suspicious websites. Do not reply to any emails with such information.

Recently, we have received inquiries regarding our association with an organization using the name City Card K.K. which have sent out Direct Mail and advertising fliers using a logo with the name of "City" or "City Card". Please be advised that Citi Cards Japan, Inc. and Citigroup has no association or relationship with this organization.

Citi Card never uses email for any customer confidential information.
