(2) Purchase after leaving Japan -If a cardholder purchases a ticket for public transportation with his or her card, after departure from Japan, the "indemnity period" means a period of travel which extends until 12:00 PM of the day which is two months after the day that a card member pays for them with his or her card. -If a cardholder has a reservation for a ticket for public transportation after departure from Japan, and pays for them with his or her card, the "indemnity period" means a period of travel which extends until 12:00 PM of the day which is two months after the day that a cardholder pays for them with his or her card. In case of (1) and (2), a cardholder should pay with his or her card while a card membership being valid. *"Public transportation" includes airplanes, trains, ships and boats, buses and taxis, which are operated by an organization conducting these types of business in accordance with aviation laws, railroad business laws, ocean transport laws and /or highway transportation laws. (A cardholder should be a passenger on the public transportation during a travel.) *A "prearranged tour" is s tour (a type of tour stipulated in Paragraph 4 of Article 2 of the Travel Industry Law) for which the travel schedule, means of transportation, hotel facilities and traveling expenses are pre-arranged by a travel agency, and for which participants subscribe.
